CrossFit is a very effective, holistic strength-endurance training. It brings the worlds of functional movements and high intensity performance together. CrossFit combines elements of weightlifting, gymnastics and endurance exercise to train and improve stamina, strength, speed, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, flexibility and speed.

Training takes place in small groups and mainly uses your own body weight, with aids such as chin-up bars, kettlebells, barbells, jump ropes, medicine balls, jumping boxes, rowing machines etc.

A training session lasts around 1 hour and consists of a warm-up, strength and/or skill training and a "Workout of the Day” or WOD, for short.

The WOD is at the heart of each training session, lasting between 5 and 30 minutes. It consists of a variety of exercises to be completed either 1) as quickly as possible, 2) within a given time or 3) in specific number of rounds. The best thing about every WOD is that they are scalable! This mean the workout can be adjusted to your fitness level.

The goal of CrossFit is not to get big biceps or the best six-pack, those are simply the side effects. At CrossFit Lörrach, we help you achieve a great fitness level, tailored exactly to you.
